"I joined AXiD because of the sisterhood it represented and the support that came with it.  I had just transfered to St. Norbert and hadn't made many connections and was looking for a way to become more involved on campus.  AXiD has provided me with the connections I had been searching for and something more, as I am truly a part of something that is bigger than myself.  The sisterhood in AXiD is nothing short of inspiring and I know that these girls are not only my life long friends, but also people who will help me realize my full potential.  I can honestly say that joining AXiD was one of the best decisions of my life, and I am so very blessed and fortunate to have the support of a such a respected organization of AXiD, and my sisters, where ever the journey of life takes me."

"I joined Alpha Xi Delta because of how they presented the sisterhood aspect and how welcoming and friendly they are. Also, I joined because before formal recruitment I met a bunch of Alpha Xi's and we clicked right away and I knew this was where I would fit in best. The girls seemed down to earth and willing to personally get to know me which I thought was great! They are the girls I want to be associated with when I tell someone that I am an Alpha Xi Delta."

"I decided to join a sorority because I wanted to meet new people and become more involved on campus. Joining a sorority also seemed like a great opportunity to form lifelong bonds and participate in a philanthropy. While going through formal recruitment I was a little apprehensive at first, but after talking with the girls from Alpha Xi Delta I knew it was a place that I could be myself and that it was something I wanted to be part of."

"I decided to join because, although I was enjoying my freshman year of college, I knew something was missing and I wanted to get involved. When I walked into the Alpha Xi Delta room during formal recruitment, I really felt at home, and have been loving every minute of the experience ever since! I love that my sisters are here for me no matter what, and that our friendships will last a lifetime; I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for us! XoXi."

“I joined Alpha Xi Delta initially because I liked the “vibe” I felt in the room during formal recruitment. I chose to stay in Alpha Xi Delta because of the good hearted girls that are all a part of it. I love our philanthropy, our social gatherings and I am so thankful for all of my sisters that I can always count on. The best part of our sisterhood is always having a girl to talk to that will be a true friend.”

“I joined Alpha Xi Delta because of the sisterhood I saw through one of my close friend's experience in the sorority. She seemed to always have a plan, and continually had someone to be there when she needed a friend. I had already had a succesful college career, but something was missing. I decided to go through recruitment my junior year, hopeing that I could gain close friendships and fun projects to do. The first moment I stepped into the room of informal recruitment, I knew the Xi love is what I needed in my life. The process of becoming a sister has been nothing but inspiring. I tell everyone that it's magical being welcome into such a great group and taking the pledge of sisterhood. It is a blessing and a miracle to have genuine friends who would be there for you by just allowing you to be apart of something bigger than yourself.”

“I joined Alpha Xi Delta because I had always wanted to join a sorority. My mom was an Alpha Xi at UW-Madison, so it was always in the back of my mind to join a sorority and when I found out that St. Norbert College had an Alpha Xi Delta Chapter I knew that I just had to check it out. I feel so lucky to have found a group of girls that have transformed from peers to sisters. The support system that my sisters offer is unbelievable! I have only been a part of Alpha Xi Delta for about a semester and a half so far, but it has been the best decision that I have ever made. I love my sisters to death, and they challenge me to go above and beyond what I think I can accomplish and are there to pick me up if I fall. Sisterhood to me is more than that support system; it’s a group that understands and accepts who you are and pushes you towards your full potential. Sisterhood is a bond that is made in moments, but lasts a lifetime! I am so happy that I can carry on the Alpha Xi Delta legacy along in my family and show the world along with my sisters, that sorority girls are more than just a pretty face--we can make a difference in the world around us positively!”

“My one wish growing up was to have either an older or younger sister. Being a part of a sorority made that wish come true for me, but in so many more ways than I ever could have thought. I love knowing that I will always have someone there to listen to me, talk, be a shoulder to cry on, or to laugh with. I cannot wait to see what the next years have in store for me and my new sisters!”

“I joined AXiD because I have always wanted sisters, and I figured that joining a sorority would benefit me as well as other people. I also wanted to branch out and meet more people. I am currently a new member; therefore I don’t have a big sister. My favorite part of being in the sisterhood is the amazing connection that we all have with each other. No matter what, my sisters will always be there for me and support me in my decisions. <3 Xi”

“I joined Alpha Xi Delta because of the women. I already had a couple of best friends in a sorority and I figured if such outstanding individuals were a part of it, then the other women must be just as amaXing (and they were/are/will be!) It’s not a common thing to find such a diverse group of talented individuals that are as wonderful as the women of Alpha Xi Delta, so when I had the opportunity to call them my sisters for the rest of my life I could do nothing by accept happily! J Before joining, I never could imagine myself in Greek Life, but because of the women of Alpha Xi Delta I was welcomed into a world that has given me so many opportunities to grow as an individual.”

"I joined Alpha Xi Delta because I wanted a chance to branch out and be involved in something that was academically and socially astute. I fell in love with the classy, friendly ladies of Alpha Xi. My Big is Colleen Amrich and I'm crazy about her! I am continually reminded of the importance Alpha Xi plays in my daily life, with the decisions I make, and the courage it gives me to live a life of courage, graciousness, and peace. I have the most fun and am the most comfortable when I'm with my sisters, and joining was the best decision I could have made coming to St. Norbert. I'm looking forward to having my sisters by my side for all the important steps in my life."

“I joined Alpha Xi Delta because I really missed the bond that I shared with all my best friends in high school. I am so excited to get to know the girls of Alpha Xi Delta and to create that strong bond again! I know that I will need my sisters’ support in my everyday life, now and past college. I am also very excited to be working with a philanthropy dealing with autism. My mom is a special education teacher and I have helped her work with autistic students since I was little and am very happy to continue my work with them through Alpha Xi Delta!”

"I joined Alpha Xi because my sister was in Greek Life at St Norbert College and asked me to come to Formal Recruitment for spring 2011. As a freshman, I had a dwindling support system available to me at school. I realized that I wasn't happy or content with how I hadn't branched out my first semester, so I decided to go to Recruitment and see if it was for me. I felt so happy in the Alpha Xi room, and decided to finish Recruitment week and see where it took me. Then, on Bid Night, I joined the Alpha Xi sisters, and ended up spending the hours leading up to our get-to-know-you activities with one of the Initiated Members. We realized how similar we were, and we formed an instant bond. Through my time as a New Member, and my past year as an Initiated Member, I have grown to love Alpha Xi Delta and all that it stands for, especially the sisters that wear the letters with me. They are a special type of family-- one that will never leave you, no matter where you go in life.”

When first entering the Alpha Xi Delta room at formal recruitment a year ago, I immediately felt at home because everyone was so loving and outgoing. All of the girls were full of smiles, giggling uncontrollably, and had wonderful personalities. I knew I found the group that I wanted to call my sisters. Being a member of this wonderful group of women, I am connected to women at St. Norbert College and throughout the country. Alpha Xi Delta has shaped women all around the country, and luckily for me, it has molded me into the woman I have always wished. This sisterhood means the world to me. These magnificent women are always there for me whenever I need a laugh, a shoulder to cry on, or someone to listen. I know each member will be my sister in the future. I cannot wait to see how our sisterhood grows in the upcoming years! Alpha Xi Delta really has allowed me to “Realize my full Potential.”

“I was originally super reluctant to join Greek life, but being an AXiD became one of the greatest parts of my college experience. Not to sound cliché, but always having a sister be there for you and support you no matter what is the most amaXing feeling. Freshman year was not a great time for me - I felt lonely and I almost didn't come back to school for the next year. I went through formal recruitment and became an AXiD second semester and it has changed everything. We are all SO different but that's one of my favorite parts. I've met SO many people through AXiD, and it has made me feel much more a part of the community at St. Norbert (I love going around campus and seeing my sisters smiling back at me!). I can't wait to get home and spend more time with everyone because I miss them TONS!”
